Read increasingly Leukaemia is divided into two main groups:Acute leukaemias develop quickly. These include vigilant lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL), vigilant myeloid leukaemia (AML), vigilant promyelocytic leukaemia (APL), and T-cell vigilant lymphoblastic leukaemia. Chronic leukaemias develop increasingly slowly. These include chronic lymphocytic leukaemia, chronic myeloid leukaemia, chronic myelomonocytic leukaemia (CMML), hairy lamina leukaemia (HCL) and large granular lymphocytic leukaemia (LGLL).Each kind of leukaemia is variegated and will need to be treated differently. While some people with chronic leukaemia may not need to start treatment straight away, other people will need chemotherapy, immunotherapy and/or a stem lamina transplant.
